It is with great pleasure that I announce the upcoming 1st Global Network on Emergency Medicine Conference to be held from the 13th - 17th January 2012 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This conference is the first of what is hoped to be an annual event in the region. It is supported by the European Society for Emergency Medicine (EuSEM) with international and regional societies and associations.

This congress will target all medical professionals who deal with the complex nature of Emergency Medicine; those engaged in pre-hospital, in-hospital or inter-hospital emergency medical care and disaster planning; and those involved with the training of emergency physicians, nurses and technicians.

This first conference aims to promote the specialty of Emergency Medicine and will offer a wonderful opportunity for academic/scientific exchange and networking opportunities. Current worldwide advances in Emergency Medicine will provide an exciting platform for discussion. With an invited faculty of world-class speakers, researchers, and educators who will give outstanding lectures, discuss clinical cases, and moderate discussions, this conference is a must attend event.
